From Village Dreams to National Deals: Women-led Tea Enterprise from Unakoti breaks into National Market

A remarkable success story unfolded at the 2nd Tripura Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM) 2026, held at Polo Tower, Agartala, where a women-led enterprise from rural Tripura made its first breakthrough into the national market.

NatureliQ Tea NFC, based in Milong Village Council of Unakoti District, secured a bulk order of 140 kilograms of its specialty teas — including Green Tea, Orthodox Tea, White Tea, Premium Tea, and Blue Tea — from reputed buyers in Assam and Kolkata.

For the women behind NatureliQ, this achievement represents far more than a commercial deal. It is the culmination of a journey from local fairs and village stalls to national business negotiations, where they now sit across the table from established companies, present their products with confidence, and close deals with professionalism.

Officials from the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) emphasized that the initiative is not only about producing quality goods but also about providing market exposure, building business linkages, and empowering self-help group (SHG) entrepreneurs to compete beyond state borders.

“This is not just an order. This is confidence. This is empowerment. This is the beginning of a bigger journey,” TRLM representatives said, congratulating the women entrepreneurs of NatureliQ Tea NFC and all those who contributed to the milestone.

The success has sparked optimism across Tripura’s rural economy, with many seeing it as a gateway for grassroots products to enter regional and national markets. For the women of Milong, it validates years of perseverance and signals a new era where village dreams are transforming into national deals.
