Housewife electrocuted while bathing in Teliamura

A tragic accident claimed the life of Saraswati Choudhury, also known as Monti Choudhury (31), in Gamaibari area under Teliamura police station on Monday morning.

According to reports, Saraswati was bathing at her home when she came into contact with a loose hanging electric wire that touched her back. She was immediately electrocuted and collapsed. Family members rushed her to the Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital, but doctors declared her dead upon arrival.

The sudden death of the young housewife has cast a deep shadow of grief over the locality. Residents and relatives expressed shock and sorrow at the incident, describing it as a heartbreaking loss.

Saraswati leaves behind a seven-year-old daughter, intensifying the pain of the bereaved family and community.
