In a landmark achievement for state’s rural youth, 35 young men and women who once dropped out of school are now stepping into professional careers after completing industry-certified skill training. Their journey reflects how determination, opportunity, and structured support can reshape lives and open doors to sustainable employment.
Â
The candidates underwent three months of residential training at the Jogendranagar centre of Vone India Pvt. Ltd., Agartala, in the Electronics Hardware Assembly Operator course, recognized by the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI).Â
Â
Following successful assessments, all 35 have secured jobs with Yazaki India Private Limited, Bengaluru, at an initial package of Rs 1.8 lakh per annum, with scope for growth based on performance and experience. To ease their transition, the company will provide subsidized boarding and lodging facilities, ensuring a smoother settlement in their new workplace.
Â
Most of these youths had been forced to abandon formal education due to financial or personal challenges. Yet, through the DDU-GKY 2.0 programme, they received industry-relevant training and placement support, proving that skill development can bridge the gap between aspiration and opportunity.
Â
To ensure a safe and smooth transition, staff members from Vone India Pvt. Ltd. will accompany the group to Bengaluru and assist them during the joining process. The organization will also track and support the candidates for at least one year, ensuring retention, career growth, and well-being.
Â
As these young professionals leave Agartala, they carry with them the hopes of their families and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. The Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) extended heartfelt congratulations, wishing them success, prosperity, and growth in their professional journey.
