Improving quality of life through modern, accessible civic services key goal: Tripura CM

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday said that the Tripura government's primary objective is to enhance the quality of life of citizens by delivering modern, technology-driven, and easily accessible civic services.

Speaking after inaugurating a series of development projects and new citizen-centric services of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala, the Chief Minister said the balanced development of both urban and rural areas forms the foundation of the state's overall progress.

"The government is preserving Tripura's rich heritage and culture while simultaneously leveraging modern technology to make public services more efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly," Dr. Saha said.

He said the government is implementing several initiatives to transform Agartala into a clean, green, healthy, technology-enabled, and citizen-friendly city.

Highlighting the importance of development reaching ordinary people, the Chief Minister said the true success of any project lies in its positive impact on citizens' daily lives.

"Development can be considered successful only when people themselves experience and acknowledge the positive changes in their everyday lives," he said.

Saha asserted that the state government remains committed to public welfare and is working tirelessly to accelerate development across Tripura. 

He also took a swipe at the opposition, saying that while the government remains focused on development, opposition parties are more occupied with criticism than constructive work.

Addressing elected representatives, the Chief Minister stressed that public trust can only be earned through sincerity, dedication, and consistent service. He urged all corporators and public representatives to remain accessible to the people and take a proactive role in resolving their problems.

During the programme, the Agartala Municipal Corporation launched several new initiatives, including the "Sabuj Sena Amar Agartala" mobile application, the Mosquito-free Campaign, and flagged off 51 three-wheeler vehicles to strengthen waste management and sanitation services across the city.

Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder, AMC officials, corporators, and other public representatives were present at the event.
