Opposition want to repeat Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal playbook: Tripura BJP Chief

BJP Yuva Morcha on Wednesday hit the streets slamming the opposition, especially, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi accused him of being complicit with anti-Indian forces such as deep state and George Soros in order to weaken India at the global platforms. 

Thousands of BJP activists including ministers, party state functionaries and leaders from different wings participated in the protest march that traversed through different important routes of the city to finally culminate at Paradise Chowmuhani. 

The BJP leaders lashed out at the opposition for allegedly misleading the youngsters in the name of paper leaks for cheap political gains. The BJP also called Rahul Gandhi’s sit-in demonstration in front of the PM’s residence as a cheap theatrics to gain sympathies of the protestors. 

General Secretary Organisation for Assam and Tripura Rabindra Raju, BJP Tripura Pradesh President Abhishek Deboroy, newly appointed BJYM President Arindam Deb, Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Minister Sudhanghsu Das, Party General Secretaries Chandan Debnath, Bipin Debbarma, and Bhagaban Das attended the rally. Several MLAs including Chief Whip Kalyani Roy, Antara Deb Sarkar and others attended the rally. 

The rally started from the BJP state headquarters. It snaked through several roads and briefly halted in front of the Congress Bhavan. The party workers raised slogans against the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accusing him of being a key conspirator against the country. 

Speaking to the media persons in front of the Congress Bhavan, BJP state president Abhishek Deboroy asserted that under the guise of the students’ protests the opposition had been trying to weaken the country under the aegis of anti-India forces such ‘deep state’ and George Soros. 

“The opposition is hand in gloves with the forces that don't want to see India as an emerging power internationally. The deep state is working to destabilize the development of the country. All of us are aware of the Bastar area which is rich in natural resources but that area is infested by Naxalism. The Narmada Dam project was stalled by the same protests. There is design in these protests. The NEET paper is just an excuse. Those who were involved had been arrested and as soon as the matter came to light the government took prompt action,” he added. 

Drawing parallels with the Anna Hazare led movement, he said, “The way a political party assumed power in Delhi using Anna Hazare movement as a tool, the opposition parties , especially the Congress trying to do the same. Their inspiration is Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka but our democracy is safe in the hands of PM Modi.” 

Stating that the anti-paper leak movement in Delhi has lost its direction, Debroy said, “Instead of protesting against the paper leaks and ventilating student concerns, the stage of the protest is being used as a platform to undermine Hindutva. The BJP and BJYM are still strong enough to bust these misleading campaigns and ensure that the youngsters don’t get misguided,” he added.
